We welcome contributions from active duty service members, military spouses, reservists, National Guard, and veterans — anyone with real military travel experience to share. You don't need to be a professional writer. You just need to know your topic and care about helping the military community travel better for less.

Editorial Standards

All content must be accurate, honest, and useful to our readers. We fact-check claims about military policies, credit card benefits, and travel regulations. Personal experience and opinions are welcome — just make it clear what's opinion and what's verifiable fact. See our Editorial Guidelines for more detail.

How to Pitch

Send an email to hello@leaveandliberty.com with the subject line "Contributor Pitch." Include:

• A brief description of your proposed article (2–3 sentences)
• Why you're the right person to write it (your military travel experience)
• Links to any previous writing (not required — just helpful)

We'll respond within a week. If it's a good fit, we'll discuss next steps including length, tone, images, and timeline.

What We Don't Publish

• AI-generated content — we want real human experience
• Promotional pieces for specific products (unless clearly disclosed as sponsored)
• Content that contradicts DoD policies or encourages misuse of military benefits
