Limited Personal Use
You are welcome to read, browse, and enjoy Leave & Liberty content for free. We also permit the following limited personal, non-commercial uses:
- • Share links to our articles on social media, in forums, in personal messages, or on your own website.

These permissions do not extend to reproducing full articles, republishing content on other websites or platforms, using our content for commercial purposes, or any of the prohibited uses described in Section 2. For permissions beyond what is described here, please contact us.
Guest Contributions
Leave & Liberty may accept guest contributions, including articles, stories, tips, photographs, and other content from members of the military community and travel experts.
Guest contributors retain their copyright in submitted works unless a separate written agreement states otherwise. However, by submitting content to Leave & Liberty, the contributor grants Force Mobile Studios LLC a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to edit, publish, display, distribute, and promote the accepted submission on the Leave & Liberty website, in newsletters, on social media, and through other channels related to the operation and promotion of the Site.
Contributors represent and warrant that their submissions are original work and do not infringe the intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or any other rights of any third party. For details on guest contributions, please see our Write For Us page.
DMCA Notice Procedure
Force Mobile Studios LLC respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of Leave & Liberty to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512, we will respond promptly to clear and complete notices of alleged copyright infringement.
If you believe that your copyrighted work has been used or reproduced on Leave & Liberty in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, please send a written DMCA notification to our designated email address with all of the following information:
- 1 Your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address — so we can contact you about the notice.
- 2 A clear identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed. If multiple works, you may provide a representative list.
- 3 The specific URL (web address) on Leave & Liberty where the allegedly infringing material is located — so we can find it quickly.
- 4 A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- 5 A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the copyright owner's behalf.
- 6 Your physical or electronic signature.
Upon receipt of a valid DMCA notice, we will promptly remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material and notify the party that posted it. We may also provide a copy of the DMCA notice to the affected party.
Counter-Notice
If you believe that content you posted on Leave & Liberty was removed or disabled as a result of a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a DMCA counter-notification. A valid counter-notice must include:
- • Your name, address, telephone number, and email address.
- • Identification of the material that was removed and its location before removal.
- • A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- • The same consent-to-jurisdiction and agreement-to-accept-service language required under the DMCA.
- • Your physical or electronic signature.
Upon receipt of a valid counter-notice meeting all DMCA requirements, we will forward it to the original complaining party. If the original complaining party does not file a court action within the statutory timeframe, we may restore the removed material.
Send counter-notices to hello@leaveandliberty.com with the subject line "DMCA Counter-Notice."
Repeat Infringers
In accordance with the DMCA and other applicable laws, Force Mobile Studios LLC may, in appropriate circumstances, restrict or terminate the access of users who are determined to be repeat infringers of copyright. This applies both to users who submit infringing content to Leave & Liberty and to users who repeatedly engage in unauthorized copying, scraping, or republication of our content.
We maintain a record of valid DMCA notices and may take action against users or entities with multiple infringement complaints, including but not limited to account termination, IP blocking, content removal, and referral to legal counsel for further action.
False Claims
Please be aware that submitting a false or misleading DMCA notice may result in legal liability. Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material or activity is infringing — or that material or activity was removed or disabled by mistake — may be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees incurred by the alleged infringer, the copyright owner, or their licensees.
We encourage anyone considering a DMCA notice to consult legal counsel before submitting a takedown request. Force Mobile Studios LLC reserves the right to seek damages and legal fees from any party that submits a knowingly false or bad-faith DMCA notice targeting our content.
